INFO + A FEW REMINDERS WHEN SPENDING TIME IN NATURE
🐾👣 PLEASE BE CAREFUL OF VULNERABLE LIFE,
especially during the breeding season. Much is protected area and nature is of free use with the required precautions. Nature protection rules are stated on information boards in the area.
🚬 CIGARETTES/NICOTINE BAGS
Many people do not consider that a cigarette butt or nicotine bag can be fatal for a small animal or its cub.
⚠️ TICKS/FLÅTER are the only immediate 'danger' to us humans. Most do not carry diseases with them, but it is important to remove ticks as soon as possible. (Tools can be borrowed or use your nails or tweezers)
🐎🐐 REWILDING WITH GRAZING ANIMALS.
Around we find horses, highland cattle, goats of robust species, kept in certain areas by an electric fence. It might take away a bit of the romanticism, but they are here for a reason and are well looked after.
They help biodiversity thrive, and plants and butterflies that had disappeared are returning to the area.
🔥 FIRES are not allowed in the wild areas - there is a reason for that - in dry seasons all year round, there is a risk of wildfire.
We can ask for private permission in safe places.
